COVID-19 Audience Safety Measures
We are delighted to welcome you back to our theatres! The safety of our staff, artists and audiences is our priority.
The Mirvish theatres are now operating at full capacity. We have put in place a number of measures in accordance with the Province of Ontario’s reopening plan, and we thank you in advance for your cooperation.
WHAT TO EXPECT DURING YOUR VISIT TO THE THEATRE
The requirement of our patrons to be fully vaccinated also means that all of our staff, artists and crew must be fully vaccinated to enter and work at the Mirvish theatres.
Proof of Vaccination
All patrons, 12 years of age or older, must be fully vaccinated to enter the theatre and must provide the following documentation:
- Receipt of full COVID-19 vaccination OR enhanced vaccine certificate issued by the public health authority that administered the vaccine, meaning the full series of a World Health Organization (WHO) approved COVID-19 vaccine or combination of accepted vaccines, received at least 14 days prior to the performance date. Documentation can be displayed on a mobile device or printed. For patrons who received their vaccinations in Ontario, documents can be accessed at covid19.ontariohealth.ca.
- Government issued ID (i.e. driver’s license, health card or passport) that matches the proof of full vaccination documentation.
Children under the age of 12
- Children under the age of 12 must provide a negative COVID-19 rapid antigen test from a healthcare provider taken within 72 hours of the performance start time. Rapid antigen tests are available at Shoppers Drug Mart. Self-administered at-home tests will not be accepted.
- Patrons who cannot be vaccinated for medical reasons must present written proof of a medical reason, provided by either a physician or nurse practitioner, and a completed COVID-19 medical exemption form. Patrons who cannot be vaccinated on grounds of religion or creed must provide a letter from a faith leader outlining membership with the religion/creed and reason for being unvaccinated, plus a completed COVID-19 religious/creed exemption form. Forms can be obtained by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. In addition to the documents, a proof of a negative COVID-19 rapid antigen test from a healthcare provider taken within 72 hours of the performance start time must be presented. Self-administered at-home tests will not be accepted. Patrons unable to provide this documentation will not be admitted.

All visitors and staff will be required to wear a mask that fully covers the nose, mouth and chin at all times during their visit to the theatre. Masks should fit snugly against the face without gaps; cloth masks should have at least two layers of fabric. Neck gaiters and bandanas are not permitted.
We suggest contactless entry by choosing mobile tickets for your method of delivery. Mobile tickets can be presented on a digital device, printed or accessed through the Mirvish App. Mailed tickets and Box Office pick up are also available. Please check Box Office hours prior to heading to the theatre.

We ask that you use the hand sanitizer provided as you enter the theatre. Sanitizer can also be found at designated points throughout the venue.
To reduce crowding, separate entrances will be utilized at some of our theatres, and patrons will be able to take their seat up to 45 minutes prior to the performance. Bars and concessions will be open pre-show and during intermission for consumption in the lobbies only. Bottled water will be permitted in the auditorium.
Enhanced cleaning measures have been put into place before, during and after each performance. Common contact surfaces and washrooms are regularly sanitised by our on-site cleaning team.
Our theatres are equipped with state-of-the art ventilation and filtration systems which introduce fresh air at regular intervals.
For contact tracing purposes, the ticket purchaser will be considered the primary contact for any guests and will be expected to have contact info for each member of their party.
