8 Shows Added to the 2026/27 Theatre Season
Hits from Broadway and London’s West End to play Mirvish stages:
Tommy, Waitress, Beetlejuice, The Wiz, Riverdance 30 – The New Generation, The Bodyguard, Hadestown, Heathers The Musical
It’s the start of the new theatre season and David and Hannah Mirvish are delighted to announce eight additional shows to Mirvish stages.
The additional shows are not part of the two 2026/27 Mirvish subscription season – the Main Season and Off-Mirvish. Subscriptions to both seasons are still available and provide a host of benefits, including up to 48% off regular prices and priority ticket access to all other shows playing at all Mirvish theatres.
“We know theatre-lovers will rejoice when they read the list of titles that they will be able to see in Toronto in new touring productions.” said Hannah Mirvish. “The Who’s Tommy, Waitress, The Wiz and The Bodyguard haven’t been performed here in many years. Beetlejuice, Riverdance 30 – The New Generation and Hadestown have played here more recently and are returning because of audience demand. And Heathers is a new musical that has been a spectacular success in London and New York.
“With the addition of these eight shows, there will be 27 shows playing on Mirvish stages from September 2026 to August 2027. There’s something for everyone. There may be even more titles added as the season is underway.
“Regardless, the best way to enjoy the best of theatre from here and abroad is our subscription series. The Main season features seven shows, and the Off-Mirvish season has five. Better yet, subscribers receive priority access to the remaining 15 shows on offer off subscription.”
In chronological order, the eight new titles are:

- Beetlejuice, the hilarious musical based on Tim Burton’s dearly beloved film – March 24 – 28, 2027, Princess of Wales Theatre
- The Wiz, the groundbreaking twist on The Wizard of Oz that changed the face of Broadway – April 20 – 25, 2027, CAA Ed Mirvish Theatre
- Riverdance 30 – The New Generation, the 30th Anniversary tour of the global cultural sensation – April 27 – May 9, 2027, CAA Ed Mirvish Theatre
- The Bodyguard, based on the iconic1992 film – May 25 – 30, 2027, CAA Ed Mirvish Theatre
- Hadestown, the multiple Tony Award-winner and Grammy Award-winning musical from celebrated singer-songwriter Anaïs Mitchell – June 16 – 27, 2027, CAA Ed Mirvish Theatre
- Heathers The Musical, the Canadian professional premiere of smash-hit London and New York musical – July 27 – August 29, 2027, Royal Alexandra Theatre.
