General Info

THEATRE SEATING

Subscription seating is based on the Princess of Wales Theatre, 300 King Street West.

ORCHESTRA seats are the seats on the first floor of a theatre. All our theatres have three sections in the orchestra seating area. Sections are indicated “right,” “left,” or “centre” orchestra.

The DRESS CIRCLE (Princess of Wales), also known as the MEZZANINE (Ed Mirvish) and as the BALCONY (Royal Alexandra, Panasonic) is the first balcony in the theatre.

The BALCONY (Princess of Wales, Panasonic) contains the uppermost seats in a theatre. It can be the third level of seating, or UPPER BALCONY (Royal Alexandra) if there is a separate mezzanine above the orchestra seating, but also can be the back, or highest, seats in a single-balcony theatre

FACILITIES FOR HEARING-IMPAIRED

The Royal Alexandra, the Princess of Wales, the Ed Mirvish and the Panasonic are all equipped with infra-red listening systems for the benefit of the hearing-impaired. These systems require use of headsets which are available, free of charge, at the theatre coat-check counters (at the lobby concession desk in the Royal Alexandra).

Please reserve a headset, as there are limited numbers, by calling 416-593-0351 ext. 533 or email mkatamba@mirvish.com at least 48 hours before your performance. Patrons borrowing headsets will be asked to leave a piece of photo ID or credit card (as a form of security deposit) which will be given back when the undamaged headset is returned, following the performance.
