For Isaiah, acting is in his blood. Aunts, uncles, cousins, six brothers and sisters all perform in the Toronto area; so it is no surprise that Isaiah is excelling in this art. Isaiah has been building his career from a very young age with commercials for Wonderbread and Ford. He has done voice work for the animated series Peg + Cat and commercials. His film and TV credits include Heroes Reborn, The Manish Boy and My Dad Ralph. When he is not working, Isaiah can be found taking classes in musical theatre, film, TV acting and African drumming. Young Lola

Kaden is elated to be making his Mirvish debut as Young Lola. As a resident of the Greater Toronto Area, he found his niche in community theatre at the early age of five and has been heading towards the lights ever since. His most recent credits include the Scarecrow in The Wiz, Fa Zhou in Mulan Jr., Max in Annie and he portrayed dual roles as Steve and Barron in Camp Rock. Kaden’s versatility and love for acting were also showcased when he filmed a commercial for The Family Channel’s Pet Month series. In 2014, he set the stage “on fire” when given the opportunity to dance at The Apollo Theatre in Harlem, New York. Kaden sends a “SHOUT OUT” to his family and friends who continue to help him soar.

Jivaro Smith

Simon Sr., Ensemble

Born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Jivaro started singing at the age of four. He is a former member of the Hallelujah Praise Choir, and left Nova Scotia in 2001 to pursue his singing and acting career in the theatre production of The Lion King in Toronto. In 2005, his musical talents led him to Quebec City as a cast member of Generation Motown. In 2007, he was a member of the original North American cast of Dirty Dancing in Toronto. He has also appeared in Motown Gold and Love Train at Stage West, Ragtime and His Girl Friday at the Shaw Festival, and most recently Once On This Island for Acting Up Stage. Jivaro thanks God for the opportunity and blessing to be making his return to the Royal Alex stage. Sandy is very pleased to be back at the Royal Alex where he performed in Les Misérables 25 years ago! Other shows in a 40-year career: Jesus Christ Superstar (Broadway and Stratford); Ragtime (Broadway and U.S. National Tour); Stratford Festival; Shaw Festival; Charlottetown Festival; original Canadian productions of CATS, Les Misérables, Beauty and the Beast and Evangeline (a new Canadian musical). Sandy has performed in musicals, opera and theatre in Germany, all over the USA, and from Victoria to Halifax in Canada. Proud father and grandfather!
