Toronto’s first fully equipped, modern theatre – with a balcony, dressing rooms, gas-lit footlights and orchestra pit – was the 750-seat Royal Lyceum, opened in 1848 on King St. West, between Bay and York streets.
Gift Certificates
A gift certificate is the perfect way to give the gift of theatre. Certificates may be redeemed for tickets to ANY of our shows, at the Ed Mirvish (formerly the Canon), Princess of Wales, Royal Alexandra and Panasonic Theatres, ... and they have no expiry date.
Online and telephone payments are by credit card only. We accept MasterCard, Visa, and American Express (please note that a card expiry date is required for online purchases by credit card; if your card does not have an expiry date, please enter the number 1215 in the expiry date field).
If you're buying in person, visit one of our box offices: The Royal Alexandra at 260 King St. West, The Princess of Wales at 300 King St. West, The Ed Mirvish (formerly the Canon) at 244 Victoria Street or The Panasonic at 651 Yonge St.
Gift certificates must be redeemed either in person or by telephone; they cannot be redeemed online. Gift certificates must be presented at the time a ticket redemption is made; they may not be presented for a refund on previously purchased tickets.
