2007 is a very special year for us: it’s the 100th anniversary of the Royal Alexandra Theatre! We’re celebrating a century of great theatre with the Time of Your Life! Mirvish Subscription Season of 2007-08.

The cornerstone show will be the North American premiere of the London blockbuster Dirty Dancing: The Classic Story On Stage. The newspapers have already been buzzing with that news, but now, I am happy to share with you, first, what else we have in store for you in this Time of Your Life Season.

We’ll bring you one of the greatest musicals of modern times on its 25th anniversary - the new, hit Broadway revival of Stephen Sondheim’s hypnotic and chilling masterpiece Sweeney Todd. It will freeze you to your seats with delicious terror. (Sweeney Todd has now passed)

Next, your spirits will soar with the exuberant The Life and Adventures of Nicholas Nickleby, Parts I and II - an exhilarating affirmation of man’s essential goodness - on stage for the first time in Toronto.

Another classic, Twelve Angry Men, perhaps the greatest courtroom drama ever written, will star Richard Thomas, and comes to us from a critically acclaimed run on Broadway. Finally, you’ll see the beautifully haunting The Ha’penny Bridge, a new musical from Ireland. That’s our Season of 2007-08. Join us, for the Time of Your Life, at the theatre!
