THE PRINCESS OF WALES & THE ROYAL ALEXANDRA The Mirvish-owned Princess of Wales and Royal Alexandra theatres are located just a block apart, along King Street West, in the heart of Toronto's Entertainment District. The theatres are one block west of Roy Thomson Hall and two blocks north of the Rogers Centre (formerly known as the SkyDome), the CN Tower and the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.
THE CANON THEATRE The Canon Theatre, owned by Key Brand Entertainment, and under a long-term lease to Mirvish Productions, can be found on Yonge Street, just below Dundas Square, across the street from the Eaton Centre. The box office and main entrance are at the rear of the building, at 244 Victoria Street. Patrons who might have difficulty using stairs should come to the Victoria St. entrance, where there is an elevator to the orchestra level. THE PANASONIC THEATRE The Panasonic Theatre, also owned by Key Brand Entertainment, is scheduled to become the Toronto home of the popular Queen musical We Will Rock You in July, 2008. This new, state-of-the-art theatre is located just south of the intersection of Yonge and Bloor, Toronto's top shopping district. HOW TO GET THERE If you are arriving by car from out of town, the Princess of Wales and the Royal Alexandra are only a few blocks north of the Gardiner Expressway (the QEW, to and from Hamilton, Niagara and Buffalo). Exit the Gardiner at Spadina and turn right (east) at the second traffic light, on King Street. To reach the Canon Theatre from the Gardiner Expressway, exit at either Yonge Street or Bay Street and drive north. From Bay Street, turn right (east) on Dundas for two blocks, and right (south) on Victoria Street to arrive at The Canon Theatre Box Office, 244 Victoria Street. The Panasonic Theatre, at 651 Yonge St., is 5 minutes, by car, north of the Canon. If you are driving into Toronto via Highway 401 (the MacDonald-Cartier Freeway), the Gardiner Expressway is linked to the 401 to the east by the Don Valley Parkway (Highway 404) and to the west by Highway 427.
